mindful, messy motherhood

Welcome to
Motherhood of the Heart

a space for mothers who want to support their child’s emotional world while honoring their own.

Here, emotional growth isn’t about fixing feelings or striving for constant calm. It's certainly not about perfection. It’s about building awareness, connection, and inner steadiness through movement, mindfulness, and emotional literacy — in the real moments of motherhood.

Not as another thing to do, but as a way of being with your child through their tender, messy, meaningful moments.

Here you’ll find heart-centered tools for understanding feelings, supporting regulation, and building emotional literacy — for your child and for yourself.

As a certified yoga and mindfulness teacher for mothers and children, I believe mindfulness isn’t something we add to our days. It’s something we weave into them... in all the small moments. In the beautiful, seemingly simple moments, but also in the hard ones, too. Motherhood, just like childhood, is supposed to be messy.

If we sit with the mess a little bit more, we learn more about ourselves and who we want to be... for them - and for us.

where calm meets connection

Motherhood of the Heart grew from my own home, my own chaotic days with two little ones, and my own learning. As a certified yoga teacher, mindfulness was already part of my life. But becoming a mother changed everything.

Mindfulness for me used to only exist in carved-out moments. Like when I got home from a long day of teaching and rolled out a yoga mat in the quiet of my apartment. Or when I attended a workshop in the evening when I had all the time to devote to just me.

But when I became a mother, mindfulness became something to live through every moment, especially the messy, unpredictable rhythms of my days with my young children.

Through play, movement, and connection, I continue to learn how to help my children (and myself) tune into our bodies, our breaths, and our feelings.

This is how emotional regulation happens. It’s something children learn through relationship; through being guided by adults who are present with them.

In the car. At the table. In playtime. In a moment of frustration. In a moment of joy. In the ordinary, meaningful flow of everyday life.

Motherhood of the Heart exists to share tools, insights, and practices that help children build inner steadiness they can carry with them, wherever they go. The most important space for regulation isn’t a corner or a quiet room. It’s in the connection between you and your child.

I'm here to support both children and their families in creating a calm, peaceful foundation for life.

Motherhood of the Heart centers co-regulation through connection, with emotional literacy at its core.

This work is about nurturing your child’s emotional growth through mindful play, movement, and stories, while supporting you in learning alongside them. Rather than teaching children to suppress big feelings, the focus is on helping them notice, understand, and build their own inner tools for balance and regulation.

The Feelings Playbook is a playful, heart-centered course and curriculum created to help you explore emotions with your child through storytime, movement, and everyday moments. It offers gentle guidance for teaching children how to understand, express, and move through their feelings — not as another thing to add to your day, but as something that fits naturally into the life you’re already living.
